The Mac
This design is a dedication to my family name. I descend from a proud line of McPhees (formerly “MacPhees”) who originated on an island off the coast of Scotland. Following generations of hardworking and driven people, the nickname “Mac” was taken on by my Boston-born, beloved grandfather…my patriarch, James McPhee. When he, my grandmother, and the rest of my family said that they were so proud to hear “doctor” preceding their last name, it was one of the most fulfilling moments of my life. This is not simply an homage to a name and a man I love, but a representation of the pride I take in my work.
The skull provides vital protection for our brains. It houses the very structures that make us who we are. This skull is the Lovely Bones logo, and I dream of my business living up to the example of strength and resilience set by the human design.
